LESSON LEARNED AND A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: You don't have to beg for what God has already promised!

I was having my prayer time today and talking to God and praying to God about something over and over again.

He spoke to me and said: “I heard you the first time. Why are you begging Me for something that’s already yours? It’s already done. Thank Me in advance for it. Praise Me. That’s all you need to do at this point.“

God used this situation to remind me of this: We don’t have to beg for what’s already ours and what’s already God-ordained for our lives. Also, God hears us the first time that we pray. However, He answers us according to His divine timing. Pray about it. Leave it at God’s feet. Thank Him in advance and continue to praise and worship Him while you’re waiting.

On a sidenote: Sometimes I’ve prayed for something and God sent me something else. It wasn’t what I wanted, but it was definitely what I needed. I’ve learned that if God doesn’t allow you to have what you prayed for, it’s either not time for it yet or it’s simply not for you and He has something better in mind.
